AFTRS is calling for expressions of interest for our new Industry Advisory Panels. We would like to hear from media industry employers and individuals who are experts in their field.

Panel members will help to inform AFTRS skills training for media industry practitioners ensuring alignment with employment and entrepreneurial opportunities in the media industry.

AFTRS industry skills training program offers experiential learning that is future focused, globally relevant and informed by media industry both locally and globally.

The Industry Advisory Panels will provide advice, global insights and inform our programs to ensure relevance in the workforce. Industry Advisory Panels will validate the curriculum of the Industry Skills program.

The quality of the skills training program will align with the quality and excellence of education offered through AFTRS undergraduate and post graduate courses.

THE FOUR PANELS
  • Business Innovation: Representing a range of businesses, including new/start-up media businesses
  • Content and Production: Content-makers across a range of platforms
  • Craft: Specialists in camera, sound and post-production
  • Radio and Podcasting: Representatives from commercial, community and public broadcasting
TIME COMMITTMENT

We’d like panel members to attend a minimum of two meetings each year, and review written curriculum on relevant certificates and give feedback. The initial term will be for one year.  View the terms of reference.

Expressions of interest are now closed. Panels will be announced shortly.

Applications will be assessed by a selection panel and the final panels will represent a range of knowledge and skills that will support the AFTRS industry skills training program. The program offers experiential learning that is future focused, globally relevant and informed by media industry both locally and globally.
