AFTRS: Building 130, Entertainment Quarter, Moore Park NSW 2021

We held our annual access-all-areas Open Day on Saturday 19 August 2023. Attendees got to know our award-winning practitioners, students, and alumni, attend live chats and panel discussions, explore our state-of-the-art campus, participate in hands-on activities and got some tips on applications for the 2024 intake. Our main sessions were also streamed online, including access to our Ask Us Anything sessions.

Bachelor of Arts Screen: Production

The Bachelor of Arts Screen: Production is designed for students with a passion and commitment to creating stories that are powerful and distinctively Australian.

Delivered full-time over three years, this program has been developed in response to the needs of employers across the sector, aiming to give students the skills to become adaptable content creators who can work in a variety of creative roles, and produce content across platforms.

Master of Arts Screen (9 Disciplines)

The Master of Arts Screen is a hands-on transformative learning experience. This two-year, full-time degree is designed to empower and enable future creative leaders of the screen industry and fast-track their careers.

Offered in 9 disciplines (Directing, Producing, Screenwriting, Cinematography, Editing, Production Design, Sound Design, Music, Documentary), the program includes shared subjects in screen studies, research and development, deep discipline learning and cross-disciplinary projects to allow students to develop a dynamic and multi-faceted skill set. An ongoing cycle of practical collaborations enables students to hone their skills, apply creative thinking to real-world scenarios and develop life-long partnerships.

Graduate Diploma in Radio and Podcasting

The Graduate Diploma in Radio and Podcasting is a hands-on, dynamic program for emerging broadcasters, podcasters and radio producers. Through specialised training and collaboration, in class and during live broadcasts, you will learn at an advanced level that the cornerstones of good content are communication, storytelling and knowing your audience.

AFTRS offers flexible study options for this course: online and on-campus. Each semester, students may choose between 1 and 4 subjects. The course can be completed in one year, however, students have a total of six years to complete

Master of Arts Screen: Business

Designed for a new generation of screen leaders, AFTRS’ Master of Arts Screen: Business is Australia’s foremost screen business course. For more than a decade it has accelerated the careers of screen media practitioners, delivering high-quality content to producers, developers, broadcasters, filmmakers, creative arts managers, founders, and many screen sector entrepreneurs.

AFTRS offers flexible study options for this course: online, on-campus or a combination of both. Each semester, students may choose between 1 and 4 subjects. The course can be completed in one year, however, students have a total of six years to complete.
