Ellie Rennie

Associate Professor Ellie Rennie is a Co-Director of RMIT’s Digital Ethnography Research Centre, a member of RMIT’s Blockchain Innovation Hub, and an Associate Investigator in the ARC Centre of Excellence for Automated Decision-Making and Society. She is currently undertaking work on blockchain and cooperation (ARC Future Fellowship 2020-2025). Ellie has also worked extensively on the topic of digital inclusion and is producing a podcast series about internet in remote Aboriginal communities (Disconnect, funded by Telstra). Her book publications include: Wi-Fi (Polity, under contract); Using Media for Social Innovation (Intellect, 2018) and; Internet on the Outstation: The digital divide and remote Aboriginal communities (multi-authored with industry partners, Institute for Network Cultures, 2016).
