Genevieve Ginty

Tutor

As a production manager, Genevieve worked on reality television shows such as Big Brother, Strictly Dancing, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, and Friday Night Games before moving into a supervisory role at Southern Star Endemol in 2005. Since then she has worked on light entertainment, lifestyle, observational documentaries, and reality series as a consultant, production supervisor, line producer and production executive.

Working on large and small productions for both global production companies and independents has provided Genevieve with a breadth of knowledge and experience in Australian unscripted television. It has also provided an opportunity for her to work with many of Australia’s celebrated producers.

Engaged mostly in development and occasionally overseeing productions, Genevieve has worked with Paul Franklin, Chris Culvenor, Rikkie Proost, Courtney Gibson, Jason Stephens, Ben Davies, Peter Abbot and John Gregory, Karina Holden, Rory Callaghan, Cathie Scott, Jonathon Summerhayes, Alex Mavroidakis, Marion Farrelly and Karen Dewey to name a few. Her recent credits include The Chef’s Line, Maggie in Japan, The Rookie and Behave Yourself among others.

Genevieve has been teaching short and long courses in production management at AFTRS since 2010. Genevieve is passionate about sharing her knowledge and experience with Australia’s emerging production managers and providing them with insight, strategies and confidence to effectively manage and support their producer’s vision.
